POWERING THE TRANSITION
Clean Energy Through Efficiency
At SPG Energy Group, we partner with landowners throughout the Commonwealth to bring storage projects to life, with an objective of helping achieve Massachusetts’s Clean Energy and Climate Plan, which aims to deploy 5,000 MW of battery energy storage by 2030. Through our land lease program, we focus on space efficient battery storage solutions for commercial, industrial and agricultural properties, centered on aiming to minimize footprint and maximize value. Our typical system can fit in spaces as small as 3000 – 5000 square feet. We form synergetic relations with owners while making a positive impact on sustainability and resiliency.

The Need for Battery Storage
Grid Resiliency
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) serve as a critical foundation for modern grid resilience, modernizing the electrical infrastructure by managing supply fluctuations, absorbing excess generation, and protecting communities from extended power disruptions.
Renewable Support
Storage systems are essential for optimizing variability of renewable energy like solar and wind power. Where PV systems require daylight and wind turbines depend on the weather, these energy sources cannot generate electricity consistently. BESS solves this problem by capturing excess electricity during peak production times and releasing it back into the grid whenever renewable generation drops.
Lower CO2 Emissions
Battery Energy Storage Systems serve to reduce fossil fuel reliance and CO₂ emissions by shifting clean energy from times of surplus to times of high demand. Rather than letting excess solar or wind energy go to waste, batteries capture this surplus and discharge it when the grid would otherwise rely on high-emission fossil fuel plants
